But, when you have a home that is cluttered with furniture it can overshadow these items or if they are locked away it hinders your enjoyment of them. It is time we gave these items a proper place in your home. It is time they were enjoyed and utilized to their full potential! I can show you how to blend these items or display them with your daily decor in a way that you will truly enjoy and use them. My creative use of antiques in combination with careful space planning and decor will create eclectic mix that will bring about a style that truly reflects your history and your story.

What’s Included:

• 1 hour Video Call:

  We will discuss your project and your list of special items. Together we will select up to 3 items treasured items on which to anchor our room design. We will discuss your current use of the space, your needs. I will do an initial paint colors scheme, advise you on any need for accessories, lighting or additional furniture. We will review your don'ts, and your style and taste.

• Mood board:

  I will provide a mood board to ensure that we agree on the style and direction of the project and a final color scheme.

• Selection of items as per client needs:

  I will select up to 5 additional large items and up to 4 small items to add to the rooms decor that will tie in with your Mood Board and inspiration for the room. We will have 1 virtual meeting for approval of items. (1 hr max).

• Floor Plan:

  I will provide you with a detailed Floor Plan, so that we can agree on the design and flow of the space. We will meet again (1 hr max) to approve the Floor Plan. 

• E-mailed Shopping list:

  After the approval of the above materials, I will e-mail you a final curated Shopping List that will include all the information necessary for the purchase of and and all new furnishings or materials. Now you will have a completed visual concept of your room, a space plan for arranging it and the details for purchasing the supporting items you may need. Together we will have given a new life and purpose to your heirlooms or prominence to your family memories. All you have to do is just do a little shopping and a weekend of arranging furniture and your new space will be ready to enjoy.

• During our calls:

  Feel free to ask me anything you would like regarding design or the functionality of your home during our time together. I am here to make your home feel more comfortable, functional and more you.

• 1 hr Follow Up Virtual Call:

  I want to make sure that you are making your DesignLife come true, so I will follow up 4 weeks after I submit the Shopping List to you to make sure our plan is on track.

Hello. My name is Cami and I am a designer of spaces. I believe that our homes are our most undervalued commodity and that they are places where if planned properly, can contribute to the joy that we feel every day in ways we cannot imagine. Planning a space carefully and being attentive to the needs of those who will use it and how they will use it is my specialty.

Spaces need to grow with us and transform with us. Especially now that we are staying at home more because of COVID. We need our homes to be peaceful retreats, work spaces, and gathering spots for family memories. We need to treasure our family history and our roots and where we came from in order to teach our children where to go into the future. Home is where everything begins but, it is so often overlooked in our rush to achieve more and to do more… But, now, that we have been made to stop, we have time to reflect and realize that we can alter the way we live and prioritize what really matters. These changes do not need to be monumental and can be made simply by being clear about your needs and designing a plan of action.

Do you do any restoration?

Unfortunately, I do not do any restoration.

What do I do if I have items to give away?

We can work together to find solutions for the items you want to give away. I can provide you with a list of donation sites.

Can you help me transform heirlooms into more modern pieces?

I can give you suggestions on paint or stain colors should you want to paint your furniture pieces or add glass or marble to them. I can also suggest how to have them reupholstered.

Can we do multiple rooms?

Of Course we can! If you enjoy working with me, we can continue transforming your home. I have a Full Service design option that can tackle any project you need or we can work room by room. It’s up to you.

Can you help me figure out the value of my pieces?

While I am not an art or antique dealer, I have a few resources that I would be happy to share with you.

Do you think antiques should be used?

I truly believe that antiques should be used in our homes, with the right care antiques will continue to age well and most importantly our enjoyment of them will be that much richer for having them be part of our lives as opposed to pieces that nobody can use, see or touch. On the event that they are in a fragile state then, we may be able to find creative options to enjoy their beauty, displaying them prominently all while keeping them safe. Heirlooms pieces are meant to be used and enjoyed and talked about. They are there to enrich our lives. Otherwise, Why own it and why have it taking up space in your home?
